All in one solar streetlight vs. split type

With the rapid growth of photovoltaic and LED lighting technologies, solar powered lighting items are much more and far more popular. The new generation Integrated all in one solar streetlight and the last generation split type solar streetlights. What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two solar lights? The split type solar street lamps use lead acid batteries, and the integrated all in one solar street lamps use lithium battery.

Lithium batteries are nearly 100% efficiency in both charge and discharge, Level A standard lithium battery is adopted for our lamp. It will not only have 5 times’ longer lifespan than lead-acid but also have charging depth protection. It will highly increase the lifespan of battery to 8 years.

Lithium batteries deliver higher-quality performance in a safer, longer lasting, smaller and lighter package, Lithium-ion batteries are a much cleaner technology and are safer for the environment.



The prices of split type solar streetlights are much more expensive, with 40-60% more costs than the ones of integrated all in one solar streetlight.



The speed of installation will affect the project installation costs.

To install the split-type solar streetlights, we need to dig pits for pole foundation and battery box. Then we need to install solar panels, LED street light, light controller, fix all the kits, after all of these, we still have to wire inside to make the whole system work.

For integrated solar streetlights, it just 3 simple steps for installation. Digging cage, fixing the screws of the lights, erect the pole, installation done.

It takes about 1-1.5 hours to install a split-type solar streetlight. For the integrated solar powered streetlights, the solar panel, LED lamp, battery, smart sensor and controller are all in one box, very easy to install. They can be installed on the new pole or the old poles, even the walls are also ok. It helps save lots installation time and costs.




For the traditional split-type solar streetlights, when there is something wrong with the lights, manufacturers need to send technical personnel to the local repair. They have to do troubleshooting with the battery, photovoltaic panels, LED lamp, wires etc. If the maintenance worker does not take enough spare parts, it will waste much more time. On the other hand, some factories are not willing to send technical workers to installation location because of the high costs.

For all-in-one solar powered street lamps, the customers just need to send the whole integrated solar lamp to factory for maintenance, very easy and convenient.

The integrated solar powered street lamps have more advantages than the split-type solar powered streetlights on the price, service life, installation and maintenance costs. Which is the reason why more and more people choose integrated solar lights.
